As the truck was out of commission, the Impala was my only ride for a few days. Given that the temp was 110 in the Valley, this made for some serious discomfort, particularly as I put about 120 miles on the car in ONE day. I called Morgan at AirMec and pressed for an appointment to finish the system, notwithstanding the 348 is still not in it. I have been holding off for a year thinking I would have the motor done ANY day. NOT.
I figure I can just pay for a new set of hoses once the 348 gets done and is in.
Of course, this is the curse: do it now and the motor gets done quickly. Whatever, after three years and ten thousand dollars and just a pile of engine parts (REALLY), this would be a cheap way to get it finally done.
John Beck from Chico is two weeks late in coming to get the pile of 348 parts.
I had Classic Air 2-day air ship the bracket. Of course now Morgan says he can’t take it for several more days. More money pissed away. We did get the truck running, so I now have AC in the dually. WOW!!!

The Impala is at AirMec as of today, with the bracket and condenser. I can’t find the compressor, and I’m not sure I had it at all at this point. I’ll look around the garage one more time, but so far no compressor.

John Beck is now supposed to come down next week and get the 348 motor. Whatever.
